Some video professionals who got Final Cut Pro X weren't so happy with the new release, and would prefer to stick with Final Cut Pro 7.
The main reason could be that the ability to import projects from Final Cut Pro 7 into the new Final Cut Pro X is not possible. Please take note that that's -project- not video.
In any case, you should decide whether FCPX is for you.
