iPad 2, officially announced

 Apple recently announced its second generation iPad, the iPad 2. It promises to be an all-new design device, being "less in your hands, more at your fingertips.





Here's what's new with the iPad 2:

• One-third thinner - only 8.8mm thick, which is thinner than the iPhone 4.
• Lighter - now only 1.3 pounds, against the previous 1.5 pounds.
• Dual cameras - rear and front facing cams.
• Faster processing - sports the new dual core A5 processor
• Available in 2 colors: black or white

 The iPad will begin shipping on Friday, March 11, 2011.
